Negar Namazifard holds a MSc Degree in Energy Engineering – Energy for Development in 2021, obtained at Politecnico di Milano. During her thesis, she developed an Open source operation and planning energy model for energy transition scenarios addressing temporal/spatial resolution challenges in the existing energy planning optimization models. In 2019 and 2020, she collaborated with Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei for the development of an integrated model for the analysis of the environmental and economic impact of national policies dedicated to production system, with a specific focus on energy and climate policies.

Currently, she is a research fellow in the Department of Energy –Politecnico di Milano, focusing on developing both open-source ad-hoc energy optimization models and integrated industrial ecology and energy models.
