In April 2018 Francesco Tonini achieved his Master’s Degree in Energy Engineering-Energy for Development at Politecnico di Milano with a Thesis about System Dynamics modelling for long-term energy demand forecast in rural areas.

He is now Doctoral Researcher at Sustainable Energy Systems Analysis and Modelling division, Department of Energy, Politecnico di Milano carrying on his research about ex-ante economic and environmental impact evaluation of access to energy projects in developing countries. His specific interest is related to the implementation and application of Input-Output and System-Dynamics models. He worked on the project aimed to develop the Impact Evaluation Model for community project in the energy sector in collaboration with Eni S.p.A.
